John H. Herring is the third child born to Pastor Emeritus Wallace B. Herring, Sr. and Lena Jordan Herring. He is a graduate of Fort Valley State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Adminstration. In 2012, he graduated from Liberty University School of Theology with a Masters Degree in Theological Studies.

 

Pastor John, as he is affectionately called by Glorious, faithfully serves as the beloved pastor of Glorious Hope Church in Macon, Georgia where he teaches and preaches the ageless message to a restless generation. Pastor John also serves as a chaplain for Navicent Health System. His vision for Glorious is to be a place of restoration.

 

Following the example of Christ, Pastor John believes true ministry is done outside the confines of the walls of Glorious. Pastor John and Glorious have united with the Unity Fellowship of Churches, a fellowship of eight churches working together to provide post-secondary educational scholarships for area students. Pastor John has been given a vision by God to include having Glorious become debt-free within 3 years, building a state-of-the art community center complete with a neighborhood gymnasium, computer and jobs training programs, family/neighborhood enrichment, and community development.

Pastor John has established John Herring Ministries as a way to further enlarge God's kingdom on earth. He is a published author with his first book entitled "7 Enemies Within Me" through johnherringministries.org. 

 

Under Pastor John's leadership, Glorious has experienced exponential growth, and has a renewed energy for Kingdom Excellence, and in August 2023, Pastor John led Glorious Hope to pay off a 30 year mortgage in just 15 years. To God be the glory!

 

Pastor John is married to the woman God created for him: his rib, his support, and the love of his life, Jada Fambro-Herring and he is the the father of Alexandra and Malik.

 

Pastor John lives his life according to Proverbs where the Word declares "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
